A Celebrity in our Midst?
Who doesn’t want to be a star – being famous, living the good life and raising money for a great cause while you’re at it?
I’m too adorable!
Winnipeg dog owners seem serious about the dream. Hundreds of them – along with the cutest, the cuddliest, the smartest, most talented, most dignified and most adorable dogs – turned out for Sunday’s Casting Call.
Kilcona Park’s dogs were well-represented. One of our own could be the next star in a national Fido commercial!!
The dog with the most votes wins, so get busy and cast your votes at fidocastingcall.ca. – One vote per person per dog per day until Sept. 10.
The “studio” opened 9am and by 9:30 the line-up of people and dogs stretched across the lawns as far as the parking lot.
If you missed the 2pm photo shoot cut-off, you can still enter the contest by posting a favorite photo of your aspiring actor at http://www.facebook.com/fidomobile/app_230532530393338.
The nation-wide Casting Call is expected to help raise $200,000 for Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.
The Kilcona event was sponsored by Fido Mobile in partnership with Kilcona Park Dog Club Inc.
Director of Membership Lee-Ann Zacharias acknowledges KPDC’s corporate sponsors.
KPDC Gold Sponsers Mobile Paws and Sprockett’s Doggy Day Camp groomers were recruited by Fido to provide VIP services at the photo shoot and the results were impressive. The dogs – positively fetching!
